Archives are made up of records which have been created during the course of an individual or organization's life. In general an archive consists of records which have been selected for permanent or long-term preservation. In the Radiology field, Archives usually contain patient scans and other important information.
< backChest Radiography
Chest X-ray, is the most commonly performed diagnostic x-ray examination. A chest x-ray is usually done for the evaluation of lungs, heart and chest wall. Pneumonia, heart failure, emphysema, lung cancer and other medical conditions may be detected.
< backComputed Tomography
Computed Tomography (also known as CT or CAT scan) uses special x-ray equipment to obtain image data from different angles of the body. The information is then computer processed yielding exquisite high resolution cross-sectional images or (“slices”) of body tissues and organs. CT is especially useful because it can simultaneously show many different types of tissue including the lungs, heart, bones, soft tissues, muscle and blood vessels. Contrast material is sometimes given by intravenous injection to make the area of interest more visible on the images.
< backContent
Content is information contained within a web-site. Plain text, images, movies, music, anything that can be added into a website is considered “content”. Content organization and management play a large role in search engine optimization.
< backCorporate Newsletters via E-mail
Corporate Newsletters are a commonly used method to keep clients / customers updated with current news about your company. Company Newsletters are a great way to make sure your customers know you are thinking about them and that you are still there if they need you. Newsletters can be used to pass on information or send interesting articles that may be beneficial to the recipients.
< backCustom Applications
Custom Applications are written to meet an exact need. Whether it be Accounting software that performs as you want it to, or an Inventory control database, Programs to serve any need you may have are incorporated in Custom Applications.
< backCustom Medical Applications
Custom Medical Applications are similar to any custom application, The difference being is that they are created specifically for the medical field. Radiology networks, Dental Networks, specialized practices more often than not, Require specialized software to meet the medical field’s daily demands.
< backDatabase programming
Database Programming is a reference to the methods used to establish and then configure a database. The correct configuration of your new or existing database can greatly increase performance, speed, and longevity and the ability to expand.
< backDatabase Utilities
Database Utilities are small programs that allow a user to manipulate certain features within a database. Normally many of these tasks would require a highly trained professional to implement, but with custom database utilities seemingly difficult tasks can be performed through easy to use interfaces.
< backDICOM Imaging
DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) standard was created by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) to aid the distribution and viewing of medical images, such as CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasound. Part 10 of the standard describes a file format for the distribution of images. This format is an extension of the older NEMA standard. Most people refer to image files which are compliant with Part 10 of the DICOM standard as DICOM format files.
< backSearch Engines
Internet Search Engines such as Google and AltaVista help users find web pages relating to a specific subject. The search engines maintain databases of web sites and use programs to collect information about web sites, the use of these programs often referred to as “spiders” or ”robots” allow the gathered information to be indexed by the search engine. Similar services are provided by "directories," which maintain ordered lists of websites, Yahoo is the largest example of such a site.
< backSearch Engine Results Page
The Search Engine Results Page appears after you submit a keyword search to a search engine or directory and contains the sometimes seemingly endless list of web pages users have the availability to view based on given search criteria.
< backHardware
Hardware describes the physical components used in a computer system. Hardware encompasses, but is not limited to:
- Central processing unit (CPU)
- Random Access Memory (RAM)
- Power Supply
- Video display controller
- CD-ROM Drive
- Sound Card
- Mouse
- Keyboard

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses radiofrequency waves and a strong magnetic field to provide remarkably clear and detailed pictures of internal organs and tissues. There are no X-rays used at all in creating the images. The technique has proven very valuable for the diagnosis of a broad range of pathologic conditions in all parts of the body, including cancer, heart and vascular disease, stroke, and joint and musculoskeletal disorders.
< backMammography
Mammography, which uses a low-dose x-ray system for examination of the breasts, plays a central part in early detection of breast cancer because it can identify changes in the breast up to two years before a breast cancer becomes palpable. Current screening guidelines are available from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the American Cancer Society (ACS), the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American College of Radiology (ACR). The National Cancer Institute (NCI) adds that women who have had breast cancer and those who are at increased risk due to a genetic history of breast cancer should seek expert medical advice about whether they should begin screening before age 40 and about the frequency of screening.
< backNatural Search Results
Natural search results, also commonly known as “Organic” results, make reference to the Non-paid advertising section of a search engine result page. Many search engines contain a “Sponsored Links” section, which contains the paid advertiser’s link to their home page or related page. The general assembly of pages listed are the Natural results for a given keyword search. Natural results are granted an order based on the relevance of material contained in a web-sites content in relation to the keyword searched for by a user.
< backOperating System
Operating Systems (OS) are a set of computer programs that manage the hardware and software resources of a computer. An operating system processes raw system and user input and responds by allocating and managing tasks and internal system resources as a service to users and programs of the system. At the foundation of all system software, an operating system performs basic tasks such as controlling and allocating memory, prioritizing system requests, controlling input and output devices, facilitating networking, and managing file systems. Most operating systems have a command line interpreter as a basic user interface, but they may also provide a graphical user interface (GUI) for ease of operation. The operating system forms a platform for other system software and for application software. Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Mac OS are some of the more common operating systems.
< backPHP Programming
PHP is a server side scripting language. Today PHP is primarily used for web applications, to add unparallel levels of interactivity to web sites. PHP programming can be implemented to create fully dynamic and interactive web applications that can not only communicate with a variety of databases but allow Web access, and control to the database environment as well.
< backPositron Emission Tomography (PET/CT)
Positron Emission Tomography or PET/CT scan is a diagnostic nuclear medicine examination that combines anatomic images obtained by computed tomography (CT) with physiologic imaging of the body based on the detection of subatomic particles (positrons).
< backRuby On Rails
Ruby On Rails is a web application framework that allows developers to quickly setup web applications. Ruby on Rails creates a scaffolding around your website databse and allows the developer to focus not on the technical details, but the problem to solve. Ruby On Rails is a rapid application development tool and is hot at the moment.
< backSoftware
Software, consisting of programs, enables a computer to perform specific tasks, as opposed to hardware which can only do the tasks they are mechanically designed for. The term includes application software such word processors which perform productive tasks for users, system software such as operating systems, which interface with hardware to run the necessary services for user-interfaces and applications.
< backSource Code
Source Code is a direct reference to the programming language used to create (in this case, web-pages) in a language that is readable to both the developer and the web browser (Internet explorer, Safari as examples.) it is the source code that allows Users to view web sites as those who created them intended them to be seen.
< backSpidering
Spidering is an alternate term for the process of indexing a web site by a search engine. When the search engine program goes through a web site it “spiders” it to gather all pertinent information about the site in order to properly index the site.
< backUltrasound
Ultrasound (US) imaging, also called sonography, is a method of obtaining images of internal organs by sending high-frequency sound waves into the body. The sound wave echoes are recorded and displayed as a real-time visual image. No x-ray is involved in ultrasound imaging.
< backVisual Basic 2005
Visual Basic 2005 is a application language that allows developers to build desktop applications. Visual Basic 2005 is the latest increment in the BASIC language.
